“Transforming Toxicology Landscape for Safer and Sustainable Tomorrow”
The Asia Pacific Association of Medical Toxicology (APAMT) is an international association established by a group of medical toxicologists in 1989 to promote all aspects of chemical safety, poison control and treatment within the Asia Pacific region. APAMT has been able to achieve much of its objectives through sharing poison information, investigative research and collaborating with governmental organisations, professional bodies, individuals and academic institutions.
The Annual International Scientific Congress is an important event for the association. The assembly is a platform for clinicians, toxicologists, poison specialists, and researchers to engage and share new experiences, development and controversies in toxicology. Since 1992, APAMT has conducted its yearly congress in various countries in the Asia Pacific including Dubai in the UAE. Malaysia has been granted the privilege to organise and host APAMT 2024, an honour it has already enjoyed on three previous occasions in 2001, 2011 and 2019.
