    • Exit G Hotel and head southeast towards Gurney Plaza.
    • It's a short walk of approximately 300 meters.
  2. Board Rapid Penang Bus:
    • At Gurney Plaza, locate the nearest Rapid Penang bus stop.
    • Board Bus No. 101. Confirm with the bus driver that the bus is heading towards Weld Quay (Pengkalan Weld).
  1. Travel to Pengkalan Weld:
    • Enjoy the scenic ride through George Town as the bus travels towards Pengkalan Weld Terminal.
    • Pengkalan Weld is a prominent location, and the bus will likely terminate or pass nearby.
  2. Arrival at Pengkalan Weld Terminal
    • Disembark at Pengkalan Weld Terminal. Here’s where George Town’s main bus terminal is located and this marks the first stop of the *CAT route.
    • The terminal is a transportation hub, providing access to buses, taxis, and ferries.

*Central Area Transit (or CAT, as it's fondly called) is a free shuttle service that picks you up from the Weld Quay Bus Terminal, travels along major streets in George Town and drops you off at designated bus stops that are mere walking distance to major attractions.

    • From Pengkalan Weld Terminal, participants can easily find buses or taxis to reach various UNESCO heritage sites in George Town.
    • The area is well-connected, and participants can inquire about the specific heritage sites they wish to visit.

  • Check the latest Rapid Penang bus schedule for Bus No. 101
  • Confirm with the bus driver or terminal staff to ensure the bus is heading towards Pengkalan Weld Terminal.
